Delicious Bean Soup (Colon Healthy Recipe)
When it comes to colon-friendly eating, the rules are simple:
Eat more:
Vegetables
Fruits
Whole grains

And less:
Red meat (beef, lamb)
Processed meat (hot dogs, deli meat, sausage)

Refried Bean Soup Recipe
Ingredients
1 large onion chopped
1 tablespoon of olive oil
3-4 cloves garlic minced
1 green bell pepper chopped
1 1/2 cups vegetable broth
1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
1 can (15 oz) fat-free refried beans
1 can (15 oz) cooked black beans
1 can of corn kernels or 1 cup of frozen corn
1 teaspoon cumin
1 1/2 teaspoons smoked paprika
1 teaspoon chili powder to taste
1 teaspoon hot sauce (if you want spicy)
salt and pepper to taste
Heat a large pot and sauté the onion with olive oil until it begins to brown. Add the garlic and bell pepper and cook for one minute.
Add all the remaining ingredients and cook until the flavors blend, around 30 minutes.
