2024 Boxer 500 Run & Walk Brings Family Fun & Colon Cancer Awareness to Omaha
Hundreds of families and volunteers joined us on Sunday, August 18 at Werner Park for the 16th annual Boxer 500. Guests were encouraged to put on their favorite pair of boxer shorts and run or walk in the name of colon cancer awareness.
Boxer 500 participants arrived at the event at 8 a.m. at Werner Park, 12356 Ballpark Way, Papillion, Neb., and included a 5k run/walk, 1-mile walk, 1K kids run, and kids’ dash. After the run/walk, there was a pancake breakfast and kids zone area available for families to enjoy. The event was hosted by colon cancer survivor and local radio personality, Crash Davis.
All proceeds from the Boxer 500 stay in Omaha, Nebraska and bring additional awareness to colon cancer prevention and early detection.
