TASK FORCE OPEN ROLES
Volunteer Chair
The Volunteer Chair will be responsible for recruiting and organizing volunteers for all events throughout the year.

Responsibilities
Manages schedules of volunteers for all events
Actively recruits volunteers year-round for events and campaigns
Manages communications with all sponsors for volunteer needs
Communicates with volunteers on times/locations for each event
Manages volunteer sign-up software for each event
Attend event meetings as needed
Attends all events to coordinate volunteers
Time Commitment:
- 2-3 hours per month
- Volunteer at events
- Attend Quarterly Task Force meetings
Boxer 500 Race Coordinator
The Race Coordinator will be in charge of all of the race set up and coordination on the day of the event.
+ DETAILS
Responsibilities:
- Insurance coverage for event
- Permission from city and HOA’s
- Work with Werner Park to coordinate set up
- Stage set up (Rental City)
- Rent UHaul for items needed for day of event
- Work with race bib vendor
- Work with ORC to set up race on event day
- Monitor and clean up on course for day of event
- Work with Race Day Volunteer Coordinator (Omaha Running Club)
- Overall operational support
- Attend planning meetings
- Communicate completion of tasks with event chair
**Time Commitment:
- 1-2 hours per week for 90 days
- Attend Boxer 500 event
Event Marketing Coordinator
The Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for the event signage, awards and ordering swag items.

Responsibilities:
- Order swag items for event – needs event chair approval
- Order awards – needs event chair approval
- Medals
- Best boxers
- Work with Marketing Vendor (ASI) to create and order Sponsor Signage
- Work with Marketing Vendor (ASI) to create t-shirt design
- Attend planning meetings as needed
- Communicate completion of tasks with event chair
- Manage bib design
- Manage Certificate of Participation design
Time Commitment:
- 2-4 hours per month for 90 days
- Volunteer at signature events
Event Vendor/Sponsor Coordinator
The Vendor/Sponsor Coordinator will be responsible for organizing our event vendors and sponsors prior to the event and during the event.
+ DETAILS
Responsibilities:
- Work directly with Pancake Man on scheduling and volunteer needs
- Request donations for food and beverage for event
- HyVee (fruit)
- Water
- Coffee
- Coordinate DJ to attend event (need sound system and mics)
- Coordinate Chiropractor vendor for Stretch Zone
- Set up Vendor tables as needed at event
- Communicate with Sponsors about the event activities
- Set up Sponsor tables as needed at event
- Attend planning meetings as needed
- Communicate completion of tasks with event chair
- Confirm volunteer photographer for day of event
Time Commitment:
- 1 hour per week for 90 days
- Volunteer at signature events
Event Packet Pickup Coordinator
The Packet Pickup Coordinator is in charge of organizing all of the packets for all of the Boxer 500 and Rollin’ to Colon participants.

Responsibilities:
- Scheduling volunteers to stuff packets for both events
- Coordinate location and time for stuffing of packets
- Schedule volunteers for packet pick-up day
- Work with facility for packet pick up day
- Work with Marketing support on timelines and needs of items
- Work with Race Coordinator on timeline of race bibs
- Attend planning meetings as needed
- Manage day of registration table
Time Commitment:
- 1 hour per week for 90 days
- Volunteer at signature events
Rollin’ to Colon Ride Coordinator
The Ride Coordinator will be in charge of all of the ride set up and coordination on the day of the event and anything that may need to be done prior (permissions).

Responsibilities:
- Insurance coverage for event
- Permission from city, police and HOA’s
- Work with DC West High School to schedule
- Print out course maps
- Ride course logistics
- Course setup
- Course monitoring
- Course cleanup
- Work with Volunteer chair on needs for course volunteers
- Overall operational support
- Attend planning meetings
- Communicate completion of tasks with event chair
Time Commitment:
- 1-2 hours per week for 90 days
