Help Us Fight For The Removing Barriers to Colorectal Cancer Screening Act

On December 9, 2020, the U.S House of Representatives passed the Removing Barriers to Colorectal Cancer Screening Act UNANIMOUSLY! This is a huge step forward, but we aren’t done yet! The Senate still needs to pass the bill before it can go to the President for signature.

The Removing Barriers to Colorectal Cancer Screening Act (aka the "Medicare Loophole" bill) currently has 343 cosponsors in the House and 61 in the Senate - veto-proof majorities in both chambers that you helped create! If this bill doesn’t pass both chambers of Congress before the end of the year, we will have to start all over in January.

(As a reminder, the so-called “Medicare Loophole” bill would prevent seniors on Medicare from getting a surprise bill if they have polyps detected and removed during a colonoscopy).

Right now, House and Senate leaders are negotiating an end of the year spending bill before they adjourn for the holidays. This is the perfect opportunity to get this bill over the finish line!

Urge your Member of Congress to include the Removing Barriers to Colorectal Cancer Screening Act in an end of the year package and fix the ‘Medicare loophole’ once and for all!
